klipsch vs ascend...

i know they are two different sounding speakers. my question is, does the 340s out perfrom the rb25s in terms of output and sound field? thanks

Are you concerns that the Ascends will not play loud enough? What is the size of your room?

As for sound field, the 340's have a very wide dispersion.

about 15x20 but it opens up to the dinning area. im about 10-11ft away from the speakers.

I'm in a similar space: maybe 12 x 12 immediate listening area but opening up on both sides to other rooms, with 18 foot cathedral ceilings and about 6000 cubic feet total ... and the 340s effortlessly fill it all up. Heck even the 170s held their own. Just make sure you have a decent subwoofer to do the heavy lifting.

I'm 17 feet from the front and my front are CBM 170. They play loud and powerfull.
