    Default Mixing Veritas w/340 Center

    New here - first post.

I'm trying to find a center channel speaker to mix with Energy Veritas 2.1 bookshelves, but I don't want to spend the money for a new Veritas center, and Ebay is letting me down. Does anyone have an opinion about how the 340 center would blend with the Veritas? The only other center I'm considering in the price range is the Swan SWC3BC from Newegg for $311 shipped. Thisnisfor movies only. Thanks for any thoughts.

About 3 years ago I heard the Veritas 2.1...not 2.1i....compared them directly to my CMT-340's. I thought they were very nice and balanced, very much like the Ascends.....not tonally matching, but very nice.

That said, I think the 340c would work well....not exact, but better than even some "matching" sets I have heard.

messing around with the eq might help with the tonal issue!
