    Default Peerless Mount

I've been looking at possible alternative mounts for the 170's and came across some from Peerless.

Does anyone have any experience with these?

How do you like them? Are those $50 each or $50 for a pair?

I'm looking at the VMP SP010 mount which is less than $30 for a pair.

That's $50 for a pair. I'm very happy with them. I ended up picking these because I needed to support greater than 20lbs and they look pretty nice.

I have a pair of Monitor Audio GR!0's on them which are about 11" deep and there is atleast 3" behind the speaker.

So you chose the Monitor Audio's over the 170s?

As pointed out above, the GR10's are a completely different budget level, however you can find them on closeout now for less that $1000 since the new GS line is shipping and I've seen them go for as low as $600 on ebay. I got a great deal I just couldn't pass up. Unfortunately, that means no 170's for me. Well, not until I convince the wife we need speakers in the dining room.

    ASM:

Can that mount clamp the speaker from the sides instead of the normal, front/back? Clamping the speaker from the sides would make the speaker front 90 degrees to the wall which is what I need in order for them to make them face my listening position.

No, it will not clamp on the sides. If that's what you are looking for then go with the B-Tech BT77. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-EnScC16...830&I=121BT77B
