12 gauge is plenty thick enough.

i've always been curious to how much thicker wire helps sound quality/performance. is there anyone who can give a brief explanation on the benefits of thicker wire. i currently use the wire sold through ascend's site (with the recommended two sets wired together for an 11.2 gauge), so i'm not worried about upgrading. just curious to facts behind this topic...

Makes me glad I won my Monster Cable in their online contest. Best sounding cable for the money I spent.
