Just ordered now the wait...

Hey guys!

Well I just joined the Ascend family, and now the wait begins. I've ordered two 170SE's and a 340SE for the center and HTM200's for the rear. The 340s are on backorder so here was what I'm thinking here...

I'm a kid with new toys so of course the second I get the 170s I'm going to want to use them. Do you think that I can use one of the 200s for the center as a short term solution and just keep my current b**e surrounds until I get my 340?

Absolutely....then, when you finally get the 340c you'll be blown away at the improvement!!

Or, you could run in phantom center mode with the 170s (most receivers have this type of option).

Okay... in a flash of BRILLIANCE, I've decided to try BOTH methods and then let you guys know what works the best. Heh... Sometimes it helps to actually think.

I'm in the same situation! I ordered mine today,340's across the front and 170's for the rear. I should have the 170s next week, but the 340s..... I just sold my Paradigm Studios to do this, should be fun!!
