    Highly unlikely. Most manufacturers stretch their numbers as far as possible.

    Also, there are no standards for numbers. Ascend uses +/-3dB rating on the 170 as no one frequency point is more than 3dB from another over that range. SVS uses +/-3dB as no one frequency is more than 3dB from a central point in the given range. Which means it has a 6dB variation window in the stated range.

    You've got to go straight to the "wwwthreads" page or whatever. You know, the actual forum pages...the domain name doesn't redirect for whatever reasons.
