Default I survived the Rita exodus

Took us 4 hours to go the first 40 miles. Then we hit the back roads and were at our B&B in the Hill Country in another 3 hours.

Rita looks to be looping back around to the Gulf!

I wish I'd seen this before unloading the garage.

Eddie- Did you guys ride it out?

We're a thousand miles from Rita but it's rained here all day with moisture from her. Take care as best you can. She's one hell of a rainmaker.

Rain? What rain? Here in Austin, TX, we haven't seen a drop! Most everyone I talk to was hoping for a hurricane to come this way just so we could get rain.

We've got some friends in Bremond, Texas ( I believe this is somewhat Northeast of Austin). They e-mailed us to give us an update on the effects from Rita. Not a drop of rain but some wind ( 30 MPH). On Friday, the 40 mile drive from work took 3 hours and they are dreading Monday for the commute back to work as the evacuees will all be heading back south now.
