Default Center Channel, distance from wall?

What is the recommended minimum amount of distance behind the 340c's cabinet that will allow proper "port flow" ? I ask because I'm trying to determine what options I'll have in placing it. I've seen the mount option provided with the tv bracket but I'd like to bring my mains further away from the rear wall than the center mount would allow for proper placement.

Farther than the mounting bracket allows from the rear wall is not an issue. Problems occur when it gets too close, and that varies from room to room.

I guess I should have clarified. While plenty far enough from the wall, I'll have to place the center channel just in front of the lower (non-screen) portion of my TV (which sits atop a tv stand), so that is instead my concern. The distance behind the speaker would be maybe 1 to 2" max.

    Ahh...OK....now I get it.

Ascend recommends a few inches of clearance. You should talk to them about your application.
