High strength alien membranes were needed to really bring out the best qualities in the new ribbon woofer.

OK, so I had a dream last night about the Sierra-2. Maybe it was a premonition. Perhaps Dave has planned to reveal more info very soon... :D
Thing is, the T/S parameters indicated that Dave's Sierra-2 had an f3 of 200 Hz in my dream. I remember wondering how I was going to plug a FR hole that large and that maybe sticking with the Sierra-1 would be better. Ha! Let's just say I was more coherent after waking up and realized it was more of a nightmare than a prediction of things to come.
I probably got the 200 Hz figure from the green bars on FR graphs. Data below 200 Hz is ignored depending on the measurement technique.
Anyway, I'm just thrilled that every day brings us closer to the world premier of this "new" loudspeaker. :)
Dave, what do you think about posting some "spy" photos of the new Sierra-2:cool:?
Dave, if no spy photos are available is there any bits of info you could add at this time? Thanksgiving is awfully far away!
I heard that the Sierra-2 will include a newfangled piece of gadgetry called a crossover. My uncle says a crossover splits up the woofs and tweets. Not sure, though, because I don't do the Twitter thing. I thought crossover had something to do with wearing women's clothing.
Anyway, it's also supposed to have a bamboo cabinet, which is great because I've always wanted to own something from China (hopefully my bamboo doesn't have Panda chew marks on it). But the best part is, the Sierra-2 is supposed to cost less than $5,000. That's jolly good, because I can't count any higher.
Many Bothans were tickled to bring us this information... :p
Holy Ribbon Tweeters, Batman!
My Patience-O-Meter just exploded. That is one gorgeous photo, and the au naturel finish is only fitting. Oh, and that faceplate is stunning. You really did spend a fortune to ensure compatibility...wow.
Thank you for sharing, Dave! I'm glad to see that our theories were proved true. I love me some ribbon tweeters. :)
That's what I'm talking about! Thanks Dave!
