Harman/Kardon AVR 340 thread

Several things:

I'm curious as to others preferences for surround mode choices. I have used the coax digital audio out from my Motorolla Set Top Box PVR to the coax2 audio input on the HK. Can't access the Logic 7 options through this input but am able to do so from my DVD to the audio input coax1 on the receiver. Dolby options are available on input coax2 but no Logic 7. Does this have something to do with the signal from the TV/Cable Company music channel signals. Seems you need a three week course to operate the new receivers and to fully understand the varying audio source encoding :)

Also planning to rig up a couple of small 12v fans to pull heat from a small cove above the fireplace where my equipment sits. In hindsight I should have had the cove built a little larger for the electronics and raised the plasma 12".
Don't have 2" above the AVR for proper venting. Any ideas on very quiet fans?

Another question is which modes do other HK owners enjoy for the various source material eg. movies, cd's, dvd's, or television music channels.
