Just out of curiousity, how would these assumably compare to 170's in fr and linearity, would they outperform? I think I'd pay around 300-350$ b/c of the conveinence factor of size and port location. assuming these could be placed as front mini-bookshelf's for smaller systems, that'd be a nice pricepoint too.

Single 4" woofer
Same Sierra-1 tweeter
Smaller than the HTM-200 SE
Bamboo enclosure
Easy wall mounting
Front ported (will need to be ported to hit the LF requirement)
What would you be willing to pay for a pair of these?
Can you ballpark the LF extension for this ".5"?

Maybe we should move this to a thread by itself. ohyeah, forgot to mention that if these outperformed the 170's, Id pay closer to 400$

You would have to define outperform in this case. The 170SE's are $348/pr...what do you want for your extra $50?
I'd say, for about $450-500/pr.....give me bass extension of the 200SE(maybe a bit better)...and from there on up in the class of the Sierra. Size was, smaller than the 200SE and easy to mount....with matching cabinets.

whoops, i meant closer to 500$!
Re: Denon avr2809ci a good match for Sierras?
Using the same percentage price difference between the CMT-340 and CMT-170 would put the Sierra .5 at ~$520. Equating the extra driver of the CMT-340 to the bigger driver of the Sierra-1 makes that seems like an almost valid comparison... although I'm just making this up as I go.
Dave, I'm sure whatever price you settle on will be fair.
Front-ported! Yowza! Easy placement bliss. :)

+1.
If they compete with usher s-520 in SQ, then a little more due to size advantage. Usher s520 is $479/pr MSRP. The street price could be lower.
