Distance from Wall

I built a 15 inch downward firing vented Rythmik with the 500 watt PEQ. What is the minimum/maximum distance this sub should be placed from the wall? Does it always have to be placed in a corner?

I wouldnt recommend corner loading it unless you are looking for even deeper bass at the probable sacrifice of clarity. I placed my sub (smaller, not rythmik) about 1 ft from wall behind it (not ideal I think) and 5+ ft from side walls-- it is much clearer sounding than when I had it ~2 ft from walls stuffed in a corner- much less boomy, but also not as deep sounding. your rythmik should already go down below 20hz no problem, I've yet to find audio recordings below that even, but they do exist. just for reference, movies go down to about 20hz at best and then roll off (as for low frequency response, that's considered thx certified I believe).
