Moving My Sierra-2 + Rythmik Sub to new house!
Hi fellow Ascend owners, forum members, & Dave,
After more than 7 years of audio nirvana, I am moving to a new house.
My current audio only setup (Sierra-2's, 12" sealed Rythmik sub, Marantz SR6003 AVR and an ADCOM GFA-5500 stereo amp) has occupied its current place in my finished basement. The Sierra's are well away from side walls, pulled out about 20 inches from the front wall, and fire into the long direction of the basement which is approx. 50-60ft.
The sound has been amazing! The new house will be on a concrete slab.....no basement.
My "Man cave" will move to a finished bonus room off of a finished loft, above the garage.
It will be about 10-11ft. wide with knee walls up to angled ceiling to an 8ft. flat ceiling. it will be 26-27ft. long with a solid core door where you enter from the loft and a window on the far end above the overhead garage door and will be carpeted.
Trying to visualize the setup in there. A bit nervous that the sound I love will be ruined due to the much different room size/layout.
Any ideas/suggestions from experience is welcomed.
Thanks!

So, to clarify a little, I am seeking suggestions for the best way to setup the system. Speakers against far wall with window or somewhere along the long wall?

I think the general guideline is on the long wall.

I thought it was the opposite, even though it wouldn't hurt to try it different ways. Attachment 1602

If I understand the ceiling details, I'd be concerned about the change in first reflection points. You might end up needing some sound absorbing treatments there.
