Thanks for the heads up. Monopoly-grubbing tactics like this are part of the reason Blockbuster will never get another penny of my money (that and a history of horrendous service and screwups, not to mention their history of forcing directors to edit censored editions of films for them), but I'm happy to lift a few free rentals off their shelf. I just happen to have a drawer full of those slips (no idea why, but I just tear them off and throw them in there).

True to form, the store manager had no idea what I was talking about when I went down there, and suggested I was in the wrong. Made her call a superior to confirm and eat a little crow :)
