Formula 1 rule changes

I am not a HUGE fan of Formula 1...but I am a fan.

I was reading Road & Track at lunch today and saw some interesting rule changes. Here are the ones I thought would make the biggest effects:

1. Engines must last a total of two race weekends. If it blows up before the race, there is a 10 place grid penalty. If it blows up during the race, no penalty.

2. Drivers now have to complete the entire race on the same set of tires they qualified on.

Pretty interesting.

Give me F1 any day. Used to attend the US Gran Prix @ Watkins Glen. Those were some great races. I like those rule changes. It may make it harder for one car to dominate.
