If money is not a factor, I would always go for the gusto. Things like speakers and separate amps do not have as short of a life span as receivers , dvd players, tv's, etc., which are technologically obsolete shortly after you bring them home. I have 340's across the front in a fairly small room right now, but we're planning a move shortly. You never know where you'll be a couple of years from now, and as for me, I plan on keeping my Ascends for years to come. Before the move, I'll be buying another pair of 340's to have identical speakers all around.
