Depeche Mode: Construciton Time Again
A respectable 12 db of dynamic range
Features some really cool holographic imaging from my cmt-340s, especially on the track Everything Counts
A cool backstory to the album and the unorthodox instruments and how it was created: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjPIwcdBnsg

Even if you have no interest in spiritual music, THIS Stunning all male vocal A Capella collection is Superb. Great arrangements, supreme chordal structures and harmony, glorious solos and emotional performances...all in an excellent recording. Simply an Amazing Musical CD to Stir the Soul (or at least to audio-test and show off your Ascend systems)!

A couple of months ago I saw an Alabama Shakes performance on TV, a group I had never heard before then. I was impressed enough to purchase their Sound and Color album and it is great. Kind of a rock/jazz style.
As an example, here's their title track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nc5ZrkHbTgc

Personally I think the first minute of the Sounds and Color title song is an excellent demo for the Sierra Towers and Horizon with RAAL. The first time I heard it I was floored. YMMV.

Rosa Passos & Ron Carter - Entre Amigos/Among Friends; I fell asleep to this one last night. Sounded great, very relaxing to me.
Chantal Chamberland - Serendipity Street

Too funny....as I was writing this, my Dad called. He is at my house picking my kids up after school. He saw the "Cachaito" and "Entre Amigos/Among Friends" discs and said he was
borrowing them. :) Good thing I already ripped them to FLAC.
Listening to Rosa Passos & Ron Carter for the first time right now......great stuff!!!! I love threads like this I'm going through ever page. Thank you!!!!

Whoever recommended Emerson, Lake, Palmer-Trilogy album thank you for that i just ordered it on amazon. I've never heard of these guys (don't kill me).
For my guitar lovers:
Strunz,Farah-Americas; just listen to the first track (caracol) to get a feeling awesome stuff. LOVE this album.
John Mclaughlin, Al Di Meola, Paco De Lucia-Friday night in San Fransisco (live)
Al Di Meola-Elegant Gypsy
Heavy stuff
Megadeth-Rust in Peace
Rage against the machine-Self titled first album. If you can find the original version (not the heavily compressed remaster) its sound fantastic.
Random stuff
Terry Callier-Timepeace; if you have tidal look up the songs "java sparrow" and "love theme from spartacus" both sound incredible on my sierra 2's.
Elvis Crespo-Suavemente (song and album). Not sure if their's in merengue/salsa fans on the boards if so "Tu Sonrisa" off the same album sounds great.

Not my usual -- but I have been enjoying this quite a bit lately. Skeleton Tree by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. It is very melodic and extremely emotional when played though the right speakers ;)
