When I receive my 340 L/R pair Tuesday, they will be powered by a Pioneer VSX-54TX.
how do you like your yamaha? i've been thinking about that receiver. it seems to have some good features for it's price. would you recommend it to someone who's looking for an affordable 7.1 solution, powering 6 170's and a 340 main?Quote:

It's 110wx7, THX Select, Auto MCACC setup, component upconversion, etc. It can be had from Best Buy or J&R for $399.
Jeh, I really like my Yamaha, and still consider it at the top of the short list for best bang-for-the-buck receivers. The Pio 1014 has also garnered lots of praise, but I haven't heard it.
When I finally get my 340 L/C/R set up, they will be driven by my Denon 3803S(silver) receiver. I'll still be driving my older Polk RT-15i's for the surrounds until I get enough to order a set of 170s.
HK 3480 Stereo receiver
EDIT: I updated my receiver since I upgraded.
Harman/Kardon AVR-435 for my CBM-170 mains and CMT-340 center. A sub and surrounds coming in the next few months. Great sound....great sound...
i currently have a denon 1803, when i order the ascends, im thinking of the h/k 335 or 435
See my sig... ;)
