Ok, its too quiet around this forum...

Just found out my temporary retirement will be lasting a bit longer. I'll be starting my new job on the 21st, not the 14th.

Just consumed about 1/4jar peanut butter for dinner along with two hard ciders. Does a body good right...? :p

(j/k, I had miso soup, rice, and pickles ala japanese style.. I did have the cider though).

Too bad about jeh's flood... atleast the Ascends made it out alive.

Tomorrow!
After suffering for two days on cabinet scraps & fridge shavings I'm going to go devour $25 worth of sushi tomorrow...

2 Spicy Tuna Rolls
4 Hamachi Nigiri
4 Unagi Nigiri

Then I have to start saving for a HT display. I'm crossing my fingers on this 1646+.
It was beautiful out today here in Mass. I was stuck waiting for FedEx to deliver my big box of SACDs, so I enjoyed very little of it. I'm going to go hike tomorrow too if its nice...

ahhhh...great stuff.

I will have to get some people together for Monday at one of our local sushi restaurants. Half price sushi for two hours.

Half price sushi for two hours. We don't have enough sushi bars in my area to stem something like this due to competition.

This is a hilarious link for those who remember large marge...

This place that we go to is great. They know a lot of my friends and myself, and most of the time when one of the group goes, they keep the free sake coming.....kind of tough to deal with on a Monday night, and the next morning, especially when you get older. :)

thanks for thinking about me..i put up with a lot of bs living in this house, but it's cheap and i'm saving a down payment to buy my own hopefully this year. when i'm seeing houses i'm sure i'll have home theater on the brain, as i look to see what room is most suitable.

sushi sounds yummy. i made stir-fry beef & vegetables w/white rice for dinner.

I'm also fortunate to have good neighbors...

Beautiful day out... went for a hike through the mud/snowmelt and got a big grinder (gonna wait till saturday for sushi).

Subwoofer tomorrow baby!
Oh, and Red Sox beat the Yanks today, 1-2 is better than 0-3 I guess...

Yeah...it has been quiet here.

But I have found that in general, Ascend owners are a less chatty bunch.

The weather's been very un-April like. Dry. I'm either in the garden or on the bike. We've just set an all-time record for consecutive days with out parcipitation in April (11). That'll change in about 24 hours. I should be able to give the new DAC (Cal Audio Labs), headphones (Sennheiser 600's) and headphone amp (Audio Alchemy) a tryout. No hurry to get back indoors.

It's been so nice the past few days here that I've been outside on the patio with the windows open listening to music in my spare time. The weather has stayed in the high 70's during the day and 50's at night. Oh, as an update on the house, my wife and I are going to meet with the builder Thursday night to finalize the last draft of the house plans. After that, it's on!!!! Lookout theater, here I come!!!! I already have a name picked out......"The Money Pit Theater".

Quiet is better than what seems to be going on at some of the other forums. Gheez, last week it seems like everyone was at each others throats. I'm all for a good "knock down/drag out" once in a while but some of the stuff was really teenage girl level. Maybe the phase of the moon.

No kidding....something is up.

The usual stuff...but flaring up....differing opinions, put downs.....all entertaining though.

(my thoughts in this thread ->)http://www.htguide.com/forum/showthread.php4?t=14274 I agree with some of your points about the movie. Especially the beginning and the new batmobile.

I would probably give the movie 3.5 stars.
