There's really no point to this thread. I just wanted to list what I'm listening to on this first day of Spring and get some feedback on what other members are digging right now. I get a lot of suggestions on what music to pick up by reading these forums, and sometimes come across some real gems. So, here's my rotation for this weekend. Mostly older stuff.
1. Lucinda Williams - Car Wheels On A Gravel Road
2. Widespread Panic - Till The Medicine Takes
3. Stretch Princess - Self Titled

6. Sixpence None The Richer - Self Titled
7. Little Feat - Waiting For Columbus
8. Beastie Boys - Hello Nasty

That's a good mix!! Lately I've been using my system for music much more than movies. The Ascends really shine.

That's a good mix!! Lately I've been using my system for music much more than movies. The Ascends really shine.

When I bought the 340's, I was thinking more movies than music. Now it's at least 90% music.
Last night I added a 2nd hand California Audio Labs DAC to the mix. After I've had several days to listen and then compare, I'll write my impressions. My initial impression is it makes a world of difference with Internet Radio but I'm uncertain as to the effect with CD's. This should be fun.

Cool-news on the DAC! One of my distant upgrades (like next year distant) might be a Benchmark DAC. I'll be interested in reading your experiences with your California unit! I use my setup mostly for music too (~75%).

Curtis, don't you have a music server? When we get into the new house, I gotta look into this. I'm thinking of upgrading the computer with a bigger hard drive and ripping with EAC and encoding with LAME for mp3's and FLAC for everything I want to keep lossless. Those Soundbridge units look cool. And, they're cheap.

Yes I do.

I use an Apple Airport Express that is digitally connected to my pre/pro.

Friday night I picked a whole bunch of songs and made a playlist, and when I am at home doing stuff, I play the list. Sounds great.

If I am just going to sit down and listen to the system, I usually load CDs, SACDs, or DVD-A's into the Denon 2900.

The one thing that I would like that the Airport Express does not have is a display, but it is much less expensive than the Roku Soundbridge products. A remote control would be nice as well.

I currently have 169 discs ripped....a little over 2000 songs.
