Disclaimer, I’m new to all of this. They say there are no such things as stupid questions.. I may put that theory to the test.

So here goes:

I am buying speakers soon. I want to integrate them into my Sonos set up. Initially this will be for music only.

From what I gather, I need an amp and the connect or just a Sonos amp. Sonos has a new amp, so I don’t know how many opinions are out there on it, but if someone has an opinion, I would love to hear it.

I need the new “works with Sonos” designation for non-Sonos options. I’m also on a budget, I know there are better options out there if I had deeper pockets at the moment.

I narrowed my search given all the above to the following. Let me know what you think my best option is for the best sound. If you have other suggestions or experiences doing the same thing, I would love to hear them.

My options:

New or older Sonos amp

Or with a Sonos connect, the following have the Works with Sonos designation (they automatically wake up from the connects signal)

Thanks in advance for your help.
