im a little confused about the damping settings. In the product sheet for the f12 it says,

For high SPL, please use 28hz/low damping and set the rumble filter to on.

Wouldn't you want it set to "high Damping" to protect the driver.

High damping has the deepest extension whereas Low damping has a steep cutoff.

I know it seems counterintuitive, but think about it this way, consider high damping as placing a large amount of damping material inside the enclosure which effectively increases the enclosure volume while low damping is the opposite, smaller amount of internal damping material which makes the enclosure appear smaller to the woofer (steeper roll off and a typical high “Q” bump)
