I just put a post in the speaker forum asking the same thing, but I thought I should post here since it is more appropriate. Below is my edited post:

I was almost sure that I would end up buying a Rythmik F12 until I read about the Depth i, now I'm not sure what to do. If the Depth i is as accurate (possibly even more accurate) with it's smaller 8 inch drivers, servo control and "TriLinear BalancedForce driver alignment" then I would be very interested. Especially if its output is comparable to a 15 inch woofer as they claim. I would gladly spend extra if I could get more clean output from the Depth i then I can with the F12. I know that I could always buy a bigger sub, but I risk having a very unhappy wife. She is on board with the Sierra Towers/center and F12 sub, but she isn’t excited about a “big ugly box” as a subwoofer. She is more accepting of the look and dimensions of the Depth i.

It doesn't appear that my local Best Buy carries the Depth i and there is only one other retailer (a local dealer that I will need to call Monday) that may or may not have it in stock, so I'm not sure that I will be able to hear it for myself. That is why I would appreciate feedback from anybody that has experience with the Depth i. Especially if anyone can compare it to any other subs (especially Rythmik) that have 12 or 15 inch drivers.

Thanks

Hello, my opinion is this...with only a 2"x4"x2" increase with the E15 and E15SE over the 12" and much more accepting with the wife maybe, that would be my choice. I had high hopes when I auditioned the ML subs and it was a very different compressed sound when pushed. With the Rythmiks, its all the extension but with a tonal quality that is pure. What a good problem to have...choosing between these two options, but with just a slight increase in size nets you the attractive enclosure with performance of the 15" driver itself. :)

Thank you for the feedback hearing specialist.

It looks like the Rythmik is the way to go. I would have only spent the extra money on the ML if it had better SQ and/or similar SQ but with greater output capabilities. If you think that the Rythmik F12 has the edge on SQ and extension then it’s an easy choice. Now I just need to see if I can convince my wife that the E15 isn't as large as she fears. Otherwise I will just hope that I get enough output from the F12 to satisfy my desire for increased "dynamic punch". I have a very large space to fill because my living room, dinning room and kitchen are all open with just partial walls separating them. That is why I was excited about the prospect of getting 15 inch performance out of an enclosure that was smaller then the F12. I guess it was too good to be true.
