Congrats!!

Leave them on the whole time you're gone and the break-in will be done.

John, you were welcome to use my theatre to break in the speakers while you were on vacation. There would have been no charge and I promise I wouldn't have moved while you were away. :->
Congrats also!!

Actually, I couldn't listen to them yet because I don't have a receiver, but I'm picking one up on the way back from my vacation. i can't wait...

Getting new stuff is fun, It looks like it will be about two weeks for my new stuff to get here... Cannot wait to run the 340's...

congrats!

i'll be picking up almost the same exact setup within the next couple of weeks. (just that a 7.1 setup is not feasible in my room)

keep on rockin'!

Just a quick update. I've had time to listen to my setup, and man, it really sounds great. I just had my house warming party this past weekend and had a chance to show off the system a bit. Everyone thought it sounded great. The only complaint came from my girlfriend when the vibrations from the subwoofer knocked her champagne flutes off the shelf upstairs. Other than that, all is well. I'm very impressed with the speakers and the Denon 3805. The 3805 remote is a piece of trash though. It locks up all the time and I have to pull a battery out to reset it.

jbliz,

we have the exact same speakers and receiver. my denon remote did that for a little while, but now (mysteriously) it does not do that anymore! [?]

killer setup. it ROCKS.

i watched a bit of LOTR with this setup today. i was sitting there telling myself just how clean everything sounded. really excellent speakers at excellent prices.

Maybe the remote needs break-in? [:)]

we might be able to prove that if jbliz's does the same thing. ha

i really like the remote a lot, but i didn't like it when it kept locking up...that has been my only gripe.

My remote also has a rattle to it. I heard alot of people talking about the same problem over at avsforum.

i think it is supposed to due to the auto-wakeup that it has and the type of screen. it's pretty faint. i can't hear it unless i put my ear up to it. contact denon and tell them about the problems you're having. see if they'll send you a new one. if not, they should at least be receiving complaints from many owners and perhaps they'll release a new remote?

The home theater master mx-500 is the answer to all of your remote problems. It is the best $100 I have spent on my home theater.
