I'm a little limited on space, and noticed I have some room on top of my f12 se subwoofer. Want to get a PS3 controller charger, and I somewhat fancy this conductive charger:

It is magnetized, however. I would like to place it atop the subwoofer (btw, after five months, I *still* have yet to remove the plastic wrapping off the sub, I don't want to damage the finish :D)

I know speakers tend to have strong magnets in them.

Thoughts? THanks,
Jano

Jano,

I am sorry that no one has replied - I would like to hear an educated answer. My only thought is that speakers do have magnets and subwoofers have big honkin' magnets, if that helps. ;) Who knows, you might end up with your own flux capacitor!

Yeah, I figured they had magnets, and I don't think the rythmic subs are shielded. I'll try emailing the main dude and see if he's got any input.

Hi Jano,

The PS3 charger will not affect the subwoofer... That being said, you will have to contact Sony directly to determine if the mangetic field generated by the subwoofer will cause problems for the charger (I strongly doubt it.)
