I think you say VTF-2 where you mean to say VTF-3, a couple of times.
I haven't tried the vtf2, but I am very happy with my vtf3, and from the experts, they indicate that there are very few factors when it comes to sound quality from a sub, so I would guess as long as you don't push the vtf2, and don't miss the lower frequency extension, and are used at moderate levels, they would be fairly equal in quality.
