Hey everyone,

I'm been playing with all the crossover settings on my receiver trying to figure out what sound I like best.

I'm wondering how other people are setting up their systems for Sierra LCR plus Rythmik D15. Are you running your Sierra's full range? On my Onkyo receiver I can also set the Low Pass Filter for the LFE channel (80, 100, or 120). Leaving it at 80 seems to sound best so far. What are you guys finding works best in your environments?

How old is your receiver? What model is it?

My Sierras are set to small, and I cross at either 60hz or 80hz.

My receiver is an Onkyo SR805. If I put my sierras on full range, I have an option for "double bass". Otherwise I can cross over my sierra fronts at anything from 40-100. Additionally I can set the LPF of the sub to 80, 100, or 120.

I would start with the LPF on the sub set to 120. Sierras to small(not full range), and play with crossover set to 60 or 80.

Is there a loss in 'speed' when filtering below 60hz ?

What is the best feed for the rythmic sub, preamp or power amp ?

"speed" usually means excellent/fast decay times. No loss in the Rythmik below 60hz.

Preamp or power amp...I think you mean low level input or high level, and low level is always best.

Hi Curtis, sorry if I was unclear, I mean degradation of the entire audio signal because of filtered band going to the main speakers.

Concerning the rythmik sub amplifier I suppose there is attenuators and then re-amplification ?
