Wow.. they look great! I am very impressed... Put me down for a dozen or so! Wondering if they can make a small version (for my kid).

Now that the embroiderer has the logo in the machine....anything is possible. We just need decent quantities to make it cost effective.

I asked my buddy for a dozen caps on this run.....they are pretty much all spoken for now. So those of you that want a hat, I need a show of hands.

Not only that, the hat will come with a personal check in the amount of $10 made out by Curtis. The $10 will cover the time and trouble it takes for each recipient to go to the mail box, OPEN it!, retrieve the package, drag yourself back into the house and, with your last ounce of energy, tear open the package.

That's alot of work! It's the least he can do for us.

LOL!!!

To be honest...I have not paid for them yet. My friend that had these made gave me some rough estimates, and before I could say OK, he had a dozen made. I have an email into him...and will call him today, he is pretty busy, he is the western region sales manager for a very well known catalog clothing company....and they have a new baby.

When I get the cost, I will post it and will email the folks that want one, we can work on PayPal or send me a check.

Any suggestions on how to ship these economically without ruining the hat?

It's all in the proper box selection, I supppose. Just big enough for the bill to fit properly with out getting smashed-up. The rest will/can be tucked or folded as needed to fit.

The post office is the cheapest & easiest option, I'm thinking.

Actually, I have received hats in padded mailers before and they have survived just fine... a little scrunched down at first but they spring back fine... just as long as the bill doesn't get bent. Curtis, your friend probably has some ideas too.

HAT UPDATE,

I have the hats, and couple extra. I will work on the total cost and let you guys know. Like Ascends, they will be less expensive than what you can find in the stores. [:)]

I too must pass my compliments to Curtis. I have been wearing my Ascend hat about town for over a month now with some interest from passersby. I feel like a NASCAR driver, kinda, sorta.....

I think it's time to take away James' hat before he puts himself into the wall on turn three![:D]

OBTW did you figure out a way to mail them?

I have been swamped with work and kids' activities.

That said, I think a padded mailer will work.

I will use this thread as a first come first serve basis and post a list of those that have dibs on them.

Thanks for the update, Curtis. I had said I wanted two hats but if the demand outstrips the supply, I'll settle for one. I was going to give my wife a hat as part of my elaborate propaganda campaign for new Ascends but I can just wear my hat around the house 24 hours a day instead. [;)]

Derek,

I'm just west of Cocoa Beach..... Hurricane Charley passed just west of Orlando (about 45 miles west of here) and exited the state just north of Daytona Beach. Winds were really strong here (gusts to 65 mph). Thankfully, I have no damage other than yard depris and one plant that split in half.

Hi Bill,

Sounds like you got off pretty easy.

Most of the damage to our town was blown over trees. There was very little structure damage. However towns around us were not so lucky.

It looks like the worst thing we had was a section of fence that fell down.

Derek

Curtis...

I did not receive your e-mail yet.... Also, please allow me more time to submit payment to you as we have Hurricane Frances staring down on us here in Central Florida. Bottom Line, please hold 1 hat for me and I'll get back with you when I can. (We're bracing for a very intense storm so more than likly, power and or structural damage may result).

Curtis,

I'm finally back on line as of today. I have off from work until next Monday (8/13) and next week I might have to travel to Houston (I'm keeping an eye of Hurricane Ivan which is heading toward South Florida and possibly turning north up the west coast of Florida. I'm sick of this Hurricane stuff.....

Please be patient with me. I want a Hat I'll make payment (by Check) as soon as I can.

Thanks....

Just received my hat from Curtis. It's lighter weight than most hats sold around here. Must be Southern California dosen't get to 20 below zero very often so no need to keep the head warm. [:D]
It's a nice quality hat and a must have for Ascend owners.

Thanks Curtis,
