I'm a color control technician for G.E. Plastics (Lexan). Who knows, I may have had a hand in the manufacture of that CD you're enjoying! I also enjoy fly fishing for bass.

Stay-at-home dad for nearly 4 years now. Professionally I'm a chef. Also did a five year stint as a rooms and reservations manager for Hilton.

My other obsession is saltwater fishing. I'm about to get a kayak and do less wade-fishing.

Lawyer. I primarily practice in medical negligence, though, I have represented a couple of the companies mentioned above. With a two year old kid, my hobby is finding sleep when ever possible. I've been working on remodeling my attic on the rare weekend for the last six months. Sanded wallboard the last couple of days. So close I can taste it. Wait, that's probably the wallboard grit stuck in my teeth.

I am an officer for the California Highway Patrol. Yes that's right, CHiPs. However I came on after Ponch and John left the force. They must have taken the "Jet-Ski", Roller Skate, and Hanglider patrol with them when they left.[8D]

Welcome to the Forum, Dave!

WHAT!!! No longer any Jet Ski, Hanglider and Roller Skate Patrols!!! How can you possibly catch any bad guys now!!?? Is Gov. Schwarzeneger(sp?) aware of this?

CHiPs was one of my favorite shows. I actually wish there were more like it today.

Thanks for the welcome.

Yeah, it is pretty tough not having all those great opportunities to move up in your career. CHiP's was one of thos eshows that everyone remembers but noone wants to admit they liked to watch it.

If you really are a TV buff you might remember Broadrick Crawford....

Other than that it is a great job. I would recomemd it to anyone who might be interested. Trouble is, we are on a hiring freeze

Frank-

That is very true. Especially for those of us who still use our State issued computers (aka a number 2 pencil). But other than that the job is great, we do have some bad times like we are going through now. One of our officers was shot as he was walking out of court. That is always a terrible loss

Hard to believe I my parents wanted me to be a teacher. But they are getting their revenge. I currently teach training classes more than I work patrol.

I'm a subcontract Cost/Price Analyst for NASA's prime Space Shuttle Contractor. Basically, I make sure that the money spent on behalf of the Government is done in a prudent and reasonable manner. Hopefully the Shuttle will be making its return to flight next spring (I'm keeping my fingers crossed).
