I doubt it. The 340's have a 3/8" single threaded insert unlike like the 170's which have two 1/4" inserts. I wouldn't recomend hanging that much weight off of one insert even if the omni's were rated for it. I think your going to need a mount that the speaker actually sits on top of.

I talked to james & dave f they both told me that the 340's should not be mounted off any wall or ceiling.

Actually, the CMT-340 has a single 1/4 - 20 insert, not 3/8. This insert is used for securing the speaker to our custom stand...

The CMT-340s can be mounted on a wall, but we recommend building a dedicated shelf for them..
