Hey everyone. I'm looking to buy a pair of 170SEs to be hooked up to an HTPC primarily for music and DVD viewing. I don't want to setup a full surround system at this time as I'm just living in a small apartment. Does anyone have any recommendations for an inexpensive amp and/or receiver that will work well enough to make these speakers sound like they should? Thanks!

What is your budget and requirements? i.e. Do you need a volume remote or will you control that via the PC?

Budget is up to six or seven hundred. I would love it if there was something with a low-profile as I don't really have an AV rack and currently my PC is totally hidden behind my LCD. However, if getting a quality component requires that it is as large as a typical receiver, so be it.

I think these are three interesting options for something used:

Curtis' suggestions are good ones.

This Rotel just popped up on AG too:

Something like this Cambridge would also be very good:

On the smaller and cheaper side ($160), I've considered one of these Emotiva amps for my computer:
