Hi

I'm thinking about about using a CMT-340 for the center, a pair of 170s for L/R, a pair of htm-200 for rears with a Hsu VTF-2 sub.
My room is 13 by 25 and I plan on using the above speaker system for movies only.
Do you think my room is to big for this combination? What would you change?

Thanks in advance

How far from the front speakers will the listening position be?

Hi Curtis

I would size about 12 feet. The screen will be on the short wall.

Your situation is similar to mine with the exception of our entertainment center taking up about 12 sq. ft. between the speakers. It puts the listening position just 7 ft. from the speakers. I don't own 170's so my comments are not based on first hand experience. I'd contact Ascend but I'm certain the room is not too big for 170's. If the orientation were the long way and the LP further away, I'd be more inclined to recommend the 340M's.

My room size is similar and I have 170LR and 340C. Very satisfied with the setup.
