340L/R vs. Axiom 22's

I don't know if anyone has directly compared them. The 170 and 22 are the two that are compared usually. Look for Curtis' review and a link to the LA net-direct shootout.

I have heard the the 340 and m22 side by side briefly.

The 340 is simply a bigger playing speaker, more bass, more fullness, more balanced. A better comparison for the CMT-340 is the M60 IMO. The M60 may have a little more bottom end, but I think the rest would be very comparable.

Agreed. The M22 is more closely compared to the 170 than the 340. 340 is quite a bit more speaker than the m22.
