Since we're not into the party scene and the wife is five months pregnant, we stayed in last night watching HD-DVD's with the Ascends providing the sound. We had a nice, relaxing time. Happy New Year, all!

happy new year!

on new years eve, i decided to go get all my stereo stuff from my apartment at school and bring it home for winter break so i could try out the 340SEs i got for x-mas with the 340SEC and 170s i already owned (couldn't wait any longer until school started up again). me and my girl and my 'rents watched the second Pirates of the Caribbean movie on the full surround setup and it sounded incredible! even my dad commented on how well it sounded, and he's almost never interested in my high-tech gadgets.

then i spent today (new years day) watching some other movies and playing Wii in surround sound. i couldn't be happier with my Ascend speakers, especially now that i finally have a full 5.0 system!
