I'm wall mounting my 170 classics for surround use with the Omni 20's. Since they will be near the ceiling (one foot from the ceiling on one side and two feet from the ceiling on the other) should either or both of them be hung upside down to reduce tweeter reflection off the ceiling? :confused:

Yup....and it will give you bass reinforcement from the ceiling. In fact DaveF recommended that setup to me(and others).

I am looking at the same issue.

Don't the Omnimount 20.0's use a 3/8" x 16 stud rather than the 1/4" x 20 that would mate with the insert on the rear of the 170's (also 1/4" x 20)?

But the next level down, the 10.0's are only rated for 10 lbs.

What to do??

The Omnimount 20's include an adapter plate to mount speakers that use the dual threaded inserts like the 170's. You can see pictures of the mount attached to the 170 here:

I see. Thanks, that clears it up for me - i need a picture. Does the ceiling mount version of the 20.0 come with that mounting bracket thingee?
