Snowing fairly heavy here in CT. Tunes are on, lamb chops are marinating in rosemary and garlic, tasty gifted wine already uncorked, and dreams of a DIY sub swirling in my head...

A happy and a healthy one to you and yours...

Happy New Year everyone! My wife and I are headed out to a movie soon, then going to come home and listen to some music (and possibly watch Cincerella Man - got it for Christmas and loved it in the theater).

Just water for me tonight, I have a 5 mile race in the morning... ;)

Just got back from my local Target.....

I pull into the lot and who do I see??

Rachel Hunter!

She was with her kids loading her Escalade with Target bags. Too bad I couldn't get my car parked sooner or I would have offered my assistance. :)

I know she lives in the LA area.....wonder if she is in the Manhattan Beach area now. :D

Windy and rainy here today.....

I'm a Rachel Hunter fan too! :) Here is a pic of Rachel with my oldest daughter from April of last year... wish it had been me in the photo! :D

The Rose Bowl is not until Wednesday. I believe the field has good drainage, and it is suppose to be dry here on Tuesday and Wednesday, so the field should be in good shape.

I think it is going to be a high scoring game, with USC scoring more. It is going to be a fun game to watch no matter what happens.

Go Horns. Not necessarily a Texas fan, just don't want SC to win.

As far as local college teams go, I am not a USC fan either, I pull for UCLA, but in these bowl games I pull for the locals.

Those of you watching the Rose Parade can see it.......first time it has rained on the parade in something like 50 years!

Been there a couple times. Pretty decent grub...esp when it's free. Not sure if it's worth a trip all the way from Fontana though. Just make sure to pre-medicate with some Zocor. You can throw a thrombo even before the main course comes out. Per a local news cast, each team ate 700 lbs of meat. Considering about 200 total people/team, that's a lot of full stomachs.

Yup, pretty weird weather. Around my city, full-grown Eucalyptus' trees were knocked-down by the winds. Should clear-up by Wed's game.

BG, hehee haven't been there since we moved out to the IE. went there a good 2-3x when I lived closer (San Gabriel Valley). definitely do not go there on days that are big events, ie. Valentine's, Mother's Day, et al. as you'll wait hours, but you might run into a celeb or 2 (George Foreman)....

btw, man oh man the Jim Brady cut some ~30oz cut + their creamed corn mmmm.....

speakin of food BG, haven you tried Crustacean in BH?

Honestly, since I had a kid, my eating out has devolved from searching out the top 25 on Zagat's list to Hot Dog on a Stick and anywhere that has "kids eat free" days. Man, this is way "watercooler" talk.
