Dream,

I have heard them at Best Buy, but the setup there is so bad it was hard to give them a fair shake. I listened to the bookshelfs more than the floorstander. Just from that experience, they sounded a bit harsh(could have been the way they were hooked up), but they did not sound bad.

All the Best Buy's I have been too max out the bass and treble knobs. Personally I thought they sounded a bit too warm! LOL.

I wonder what Best Buy's return policy is on speakers... heh heh.

It is a 30 day policy. I thought about getting pair of the bookshelf speakers to check out. [:D]
