Does anyone have any experience with Canare's 4S11 Star-Quad speaker cable?
I am wondering how flexible it is.
Thanks

I use it.

With the casing, it is pretty thick. I'd say the tightest diameter circle you could make with it is maybe 5 inches.

Here is a picture of the cable, along with some parts:

As you can see, I used red Techflex.....because it sounds better....yeah right. :D

Yeah...just get some 12 gauge wire from Parts Express....it will work fine.

Home Depot 14g in-wall seems to work for me. Am I compromising my system with this stuff? (note: I tried following the AVS "Home Depot speaker wire" thread, but it was getting way off topic, so I never really got the gist. But I bought the stuff anyway).

The 12 gauge Sound King from Parts Express is good stuff for the money and very flexible, but it is not for in-wall use.

Unless it is a real long run of wire....say over 30-40 feet, I think you are fine.

If I were to do it all again, I probably would just get some good 12gauge stuff, some TechFlex to dress it up, maybe clean up the ends with shrinkwrap, some bananas, and call it done.

The Canare 4S11 with the TechFlex looks like a small water hose, and not easy to hide.

I'm not going to lie, I am a little lazy about making my own

Looks like nice stuff, but it probably won't sound any different than 12g stuff from PartsExpress or HomeDepot.

It isn't hard or time consuming to put on banana plugs.
